Get the kids ready to head back to school this August in St. Mary Parish!
It Takes a Village SMP will be hosting a Sharp Start Back to School event at the Bayou Vista Community Center just in time for the new school season. Kids in grades K - 12 will get free haircuts. The St. Mary Parish Youth Prevention Coalition will also be on site to distribute resources for families. This mental health service-based organization, funded through the South Center Louisiana Human Services Authority, works to unite youth, their families, and community partners in order to reduce underage substances abuse and promote mental health support and awareness in St. Mary Parish.
